OUR EXPERIENCE

Our professional staff compliment comprise of four attorneys including a dedicated conveyancer and two notaries. The Directors have vast experience in the commercial and property fields, and are equally conversant with all the principles of private civil law as it purtains to the individual. Our unique strengths and areas of expertise compliment the maturity and legal acumen of the staff compliment.

OUR PEOPLE

We are an independent firm of attorneys with a long and proud history of service in the Greater Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area for over 40 years. The company was eventually incorporated during 2000 owing it's origins to a professional partnership forged between Martin Charles Gishen and John Drysdale Gilchrist, both prolific legal practitioners.

The company presently comprises a full time staff complement of 14 experienced and proficient employees, which with the recent acquisition of additional professional staff, allows us to offer and provide our clients with the full spectrum of legal services.

We are committed to personal development and individual upliftment and accordingly encourage and mentor these qualities within our staff members. An active paralegal policy combined with a candidate learnership programme provides career opportunities for interested staff. We are fully BEE compliant, presently certified as a level 4 BEE contributor.

THE PROFESSIONAL TEAM:

Richard Roy Lightfoot
Richard is the in-house conveyancer and notary with a demeanour of a gentleman and exquisite skills in problem resolution. Having been introduced to law through his work at the Department of Labour, he commenced his studies and became admitted as an attorney during 1999. Richard has developed close relationships with the real estate industry, giving regular presentations on the most pressing topics facing the property industry.

Jaco van den Berg
Starting his career in the SAPS and gaining an immensurable amount of investigative experience for 7 years, Jaco completed his BProc and LLB and was admitted as an attorney during 2004. Jaco specialises in all fields of family and matrimonial law, exhibiting great patience and care in finalising such matters. In addition thereto his vast experience in property law has earned him an excellent reputation for evictions in the Gauteng region, his clientele being comprised of corporate leaders.

Bronwen de Fin
Bronwen was admitted as an attorney and notary during 2004. In advancing her knowledge she studies further while practising law and completed her Masters in Business Leadership in 2011. Bronwen has vast experience in the fields of litigation, labour law and commercial law. Bronwen has retained her clients since the beginning of her career being known for her direct, precise and practical approach.
